New words

This is a list of the new words we've seen at the classes.

Unit 1
  1. awareness: when you are aware means you're paying atention to something; awareness is the name given to this situation.
  2. cheesy: means too much formal, excessively erudite. 
  3. denim: it's a kind of texture which is used to make cloths.
  4. slacks: it's a kind of paints; slack means free; it also might be used to someone that doesn't care pretty much to himself, that it's to much relaxed. I like this word. It's nice to say "slacks"!
  5. slang: means not formal; like when you're talking to your friends and you use informal expressions. You can't say to your boss: "What's up?, dude".
  6. smoothly: smooth is the opposite of rough or hard. It can be a synonym of soft.
Unit 2
  1. acupuncture: if you don't know, you are not terrestrian.
  2. asthma: it's a sickness that involves your lungs and you have shortness of breath.
  3. cast: i don't remember what it is.
  4. chills: what you feel when you got your first kiss.
  5. cold: it's a stronger flu.
  6. conventional medicine: the name is self explaining.
  7. fever: you have this when the temperature of your body grows above the normal.
  8. flu: it's the best excuse to don't go to work.
  9. headache: what I feel in my head when my neighbor listen to funk.
  10. heal: it means "sarar".
  11. herbal therapy: it's obviuos.
  12. homeopathy: it's a kind of alternative treatment. I don't know how it works, but people says it works.
  13. migrane: a stronger headache.
  14. ointment: used upon the skin.
  15. sore throat: when your throat hurts.
  16. sore feet: when your feet hurts.
  17. throw up: when you eat to much "feijoada" and "caipirinha" you'll probably throw everything up.
  18. toothache: a terrible pain in your teeth.
